Speaking of 16 oz Poly Viscose...

    Guys and Gals...

I've seen MANY posts about companies using 16 oz Poly Viscose. Although I've searched, I can't find where it's made. I am looking for the Mill that produces 16 OZ PV so that we can expand our range!

Therefore... I'm going to start a little competition. This is COMPLETELY under my control and I am the final judge. My decision is final...

That being said... The FIRST PERSON to give me the name and contact info for the MILL THAT PRODUCES 16 oz PV will get a free Casual USAKilt in the PV tartan (on our website) of his/her choosing.

To make it fair, please PM me the info. Once I verify that the mill DOES produce 16 oz PV (not a cotton poly or poly acrylic blend... but honest to God 16 oz PV), I'll let the winner know that s/he has won and I'll post the name on the forum to let people know that the contest is over.

If you have any questions, please let me know! Please note that ther is NO 2nd place... only the FIRST person to get me the CORRECT info wins the kilt.

Thanks for the help guys! Start googling!

A point of clarification... I'm looking for a mill that currently produces tartans in 16 oz pv... not looking for a "Custom Weave". I just did that with the Ireland's National and had to order a minimum of 130 M.

Thanks to everyone who's responded so far!

Fascinating challenge, but I would think your resources for finding it would be greater than mine.

I might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy.

How about a half-drunk bottle of Tullamore Dew, Jimmy?

I think you'd have better luck with a case or two of Guinness!

..and having just received my USA casual (and being delighted with it, thank you) and it being in the single digits temperature-wise here in Chicago, I cannot but hope that you will score that sought after 16oz. so that some USA Kilts with a higher R factor will become available.

So...how was this quest going? Have there been any breakthroughs in the search for the elusive 160z PV?
