    sporan leather belt

I've seen several rear photo's of gentlemen wearing a leather sporran belt that has a fancy overhand knot in the rear through another piece of leather. Are these hand made or are they marketed somewhere?

I believe that's the type of strap provided with a Ferguson Britt sporran...

Is the strap available separately? Not that I'm opposed to purchasing a Ferguson Britt sporran!

Yes, it is by special request. I'd have to go back through my records to remember how much he sells them for individually (PM me or email the museum if interested).

We don't advertise them as a separate item because they would not fit most standard sporrans. The average width of a sporran belt is 3/4" but these widen out to a full 1". The Ferguson Britt sporrans can accommodate a belt like that, but most commercially made sporrans can't.

But, if yours can and you'd like one, just contact me!

Dang...it won't fit my new Buzz Kidder. I need a strap for it, but this is within the realm of what I can do with leather, and I really like the idea. Thanks for the post and the inspiration!
