    Thanks Paul,

Creativity AND Craftsmanship...guy's good with some good ideas.

The concept of sporrans with Utilikilts works for me.

Found this Shoshone deerskin pouch at a gift shop on the Northern Kaibab Paiute Reservation in Pipe Springs, AZ. Goes well with my basil Survival II - I think...

craftsman ship is good and I like the way the flap has the six buttons like the UK aprons. Don't care much for the hanger or the other sporran design that looks more like er.."balls" hanging.

Hmmm... Nice workmanship but.... I thought the whole idea behind the massive utilikilt pockets was to get away from sporrans.

The fellow was going a bit TOO much for the sexual symbolism, but the flap is very nice.

I agree, Blu. I will soon have 8 Utilikilts, and any one of them has more carrying capacity than any sporran that I am aware of. I would never wear a sporran on any of my UK's. Just my opinion, but I think a sporran on a UK looks out of place.

On my wool tartans, I most definately wear a sporran because it's a pocket.

So many people had tried to convince me to wear a sporran with my UK, but I love those Cargo Pockets!! They are huge and have served me well.

I mean no offence to anyone here, especially my good friend Ron, but I seriously believe that most men who need to wear sporrans with their Utilikilts, have to be unsure of themselves!

If the idea is to dress up the Utilikilt so that it looks 'Scottish' and is therefore, they think, more likely to be seen as a kilt (rather than a s---t) in the eyes of any beholder, then he has hang-ups. This is not to say that every sporran bedecked Utilikilt is worn that way for that reason, but I know for sure that many are.

I have only one Utilikilt that has no side pockets of any sort, and that is my black leather model - the first to be sold, in 2002. I have, I think, worn it once with a plain black leather sporran but that was when I was wearing no other garment, such as a jacket, with pockets.

Sorry! Just had to throw in my sixpennyworth.
