    St Padric's Day - A revew

    So, a little informal survey last night....

    Five shows at various venues (bars) around greater (or lesser, as the case may be) Seattle.

    # of times i was asked "The Question" - 14
    # of times I answered with anything other than total ambiguity - 0
    # of times I was asked if it was OK to "check" - 4
    # of times it was asked by a female - 2 (it's seattle, this should not surprise anyone)
    # of times Kilt Check was attempted - 1 (female. very cute, very drunk) Result - Denied.
    # of drunks who attempted to play my drum - 5
    # of drunks who got hit with my drumstick for attempting to play my drum - 5
    # of pipers rammed by my drum - 3
    # of Pipe Majors Rammed by my drum - 1 (sorry Tyrone)
    # of people observed crying after playing Amazing Grace - 2
    # of times we played Danny Boy - 0 (thank God)
    # of parking tickets incurred by band - 17

    All-in-all, a very successful evening....

    If any of you folks are going to the BC Indoor competition this weekend, seek me out....it's going to be a grand show.

    Parking tickets?

    Don't you have those "Piper On Call" cards that you put on your dashboards so's the cops will skip ticketing you?

    Don't laugh.....in Gretna Green last christmas, there was a Citroen in the car park that had a "Wedding Piper" placard in the window.

    This only makes sense in Gretna Green. (google it, kids)

    # of hours I was dogged for not wearing a kilt to a biker bar - 4+
    # of other people in kilts - 6
    # of times I promised I'll wear a kilt for Blarney Day (April 15th) - 7 or 8

    Yes I'm a bad kiltie but it wasn't a good day for much of anything but the night made up for it, got a nice Jameson shirt from a kilted lass as well.
