    Starry night kilts

These kilts were mentioned in another thread, having appeared on e-bay.
I'm not at all keen on syunthetic fibres, but the idea od 80% wool witgh only 20% synthetic sounds ok.
Has anyone had experience of these kilts?
I'd be tempted if they had smaller sizes (I have no beer gut nor bubble hips, so anything wider than 30 inches would fall off, but at least I have no embarassment when bending down!)

I wonder where the cloth comes from.

I also wonder why I had never seen these kilts advertized although I get automatic notification about other kilts on e-bay. Are there more than one category?

I counted 18 pleats between the buckles on the Black Watch picture. They appear to be about 1 inch wide. What is puzzling is they say it is an 8 yd kilt. Don't know how this can be unless the depth is considerable (more than 4 inches) which I would doubt. Others on the forum that are more knowledgable would know. It may be worth looking into for a casual knock-around for $58.00 plus shipping (you have to email to find that out). You can make an offer and may be able to get it for $60 or less total.
They have quite a few so if you get one I would like to see a review before they are all gone.

    Cheers! Bill

I am considering to go for one, but still dunno if I'l take the Black watch or the Cameron.... P1M,...do u think I'll have problems upthere wearing one of those tartans?.... even more when I'll wear them absolutely casual, as I'll go for some hiking!
