Stood out like sore thumb ..

Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day here to go walking up in waterfall country. So we did. We were running late for the bus and I had no choice but to leave the house in me jexns. Doh. Anyhow, the point of the post is that at each and every venue we called in for liquid refreshments and grub I was confronted by several folk as to why I was not wearing my cilt. I got fed up of telling people I left the house in a rush. Its easier to wear my cilt and not stand out in the crowd ... doh ..lol

Get the same response at work and some people who haven't seen me in a while are actually disappointed when I don't wear a kilt.

This is soooo reassuring, especially since I take public transit a lot. It's good to know that others do too.

    TY for posting!

I am usually out and about kilted, and I realized there are some people who have never seen me wearing bifurcated garments. This was brought home when we went out to eat and the waitress told me, "I'm didn't recognize you wearing pants."

The look on her face was priceless when she realized what she had just said.

Derek, I've had that problem, too, but it happened a few years ago. Usually, on my way home from work (when I worked at Utilikilts), I'd stop in at a photography equipment shop and see what had come in, and sometimes to just enjoy air conditioning, since it'd been a fairly hot summer. So, that fall, I'd planned to go to the local wrecker to get some auto parts. Wore jeans. Dropped in at the shop on my way up there, and everyone in the shop was speechless for a few minutes while they figured out what had just happened. Same thing happened the next summer when I wore shorts.

Nowadays, they're used to the fact that I'm the same person, no matter what I'm wearing, so they don't get surprised.

    LOL @ dutchy kilted's comment.
