Here's another good question: do the two knife pleats that feed into the box-pleat overlap each other on the inside?

By all accounts (but still no pictures) a marvellous kilt.
But I was wondering, Scott, what the other MacMillans would say about your wearing Mud MacMillan

Matt and Ryan, hope I'm not beating a dead horse here. But in a Reverse Kingussie (pleats flowing from both edges toward the center) the middle pleat is hidden behind the knife pleats. Although it would still be thicker (more layers in that area), does this allow more normal construction and thus lend itself to higher yardage kilts without requiring imaginative solutions?

There are, at the present time, at least five of us "Muddies" to be seen at Games in North America: David Pope, Rob Jones (president of the Appalachian Branch of the Clan MacMillan Society), Romilly Squire of Rubislaw. George Way of Plean and me, MoR. Of course, where David Pope goes, fashion follows-- my only hope is that "our" tartan won't become too popular!
