SWK in decline? Or something else?

With it being tax time, and Ren Faire season looming, I thought I would hop over to SWK's website to see what was new and different. To my dismay, the heavyweight line has dwindled heavily. Saffron is no longer available in my size. Black shadow tartan is no longer available. Same for green. The Hunting MacLeod Standard is no longer an option. The Economy looks as though it has been nixed.
What gives? Is SWK going bust, or is Jerry just reorganizing?

I've been watching them for a week, hoping that they were closed briefly to restock. But same as you, I've been depressed to see that that's not the case, least not yet. I'm dying for a saffron shadow tartan...

It has been nearly 2 months since they had a saffron hw in any size other than 52".

They actually haven't a 52 in a long time. I'd have one if they had. That's the size that I check for daily...

Aye, I've noticed the same thing. While I am a few inches from my waistline reduction (achieving that goal is my go-ahead to buy new kilts), I am looking, and I too have been kinda' worried.

Hang in there...not a few of us are hoping that they'll be coming through with some new stuff. They can't go out of business...where would we get out Nightstalker Sporrans?

Hi, as mentioned to many folks who contacted SWK directly (always the best source of info about SWK), the wool fabric we use is in short supply at this time of year. We had a few wedding parties that cleaned us out, also. We have keeping a callback list for those who contacted us directly looking for a specific size, they will be notified the minute their size becomes available. Otherwise, please feel free to contact us directly by phone (during normal weekday hours) or e-mail if you have any other specific questions (or just want to shoot the breeze), we always like to hear from XMarkers. We should have more wool kilts coming in the next month or two, hopefully sooner. New items/tartans coming up? Yes.
