I think it is a sound move Lew.

I only have one "really nice' kilt, my FK. I am in on the Navy PV run from Rocky, and hope to score a nice kilt or two in '08. No matter how many custom tailored kilts I get, think there will always be a place for the affordable Stillwaters.

Besides, for some reason they fit me big butt pretty well. I like the thrifty, Frequently my kettlebell/deadlift kilt. Think you will enjoy yours.

I think the world needs more kettlebell kilts. Heck, I think the world needs more kettlebells.

Doesn't mention anything about custom hips, which is the critical measurement for good pleat hang.

I have Thrifty's in Black Stewart and Wallace. They were lifesavers in Las Vegas. It got up to 107....I just love them. I also took a SWK economy and a 13 oz from Kiltmart. The thrifty kilts worked out the best in the heat.
