    Tartan Kilt Jacket

    Rabble,
So today I was shopping with my wife and we went into a thrift store, I was looking through the jackets and stumbled upon a Black Watch Tartan Kilt jacket. It was I'm guessing a 38-40 in size and it was from the Scotch House. It did not fit me(I'm probably a 42-44) and I did not purchase it. I should have taken a picture but my camera phone wouldn't have done it justice. I'm just curious if anyone may be interested in it or not. If so let me know and I'll go back and buy it or at least take pictures of it. On a side note I don't usually see a tartan jacket. Is that something rare? Does the Black Watch Tartan Jacket only go with a Black Watch kilt or solid color kilt? Your thoughts are appreciated.
(Mods please forgive if I put this thread in the wrong location)
    Thanks

If it were me I would go back and buy it - you will be able to dispose of it here very quickly.

It would be VERY meta to wear it with a solid black kilt, no?

    How much?

Thing is I haven't gone back to buy it yet, I will try to do that tomorrow but yesterday and today have been too hectic at work for me to even attempt it. And yes it would be very Meta. I may also throw in a Black Watch wool tartan tie that I never seem to wear anymore. PM me if your interested and I'll get the ball rollin

Are you sure this was a kilt jacket? Without seeing it, I'd bet that it's a sport coat, which I would not wear it with a tartan kilt.

Now if it were an evening doublet, that'd be an entirely different matter. !

Even if it is a sports coat, it can be modified usingt the pattern on here to be a kilt jacket without much fuss.

I'm looking forward to seeing a photo of it........
