Tartan Museum/Tartan Day?

On April 6 (National Tartan Day), I am planning to run up to the Scottish Tartan Museum in Franklin ( Not MacGill's one in Charlotte ).
I figured I would "swing" through downtown Greenville and snatch a Dreadbelly on the way up (give him a chance to "get out of town" and to see the museum in person.

Anyone else planning to "swing by" there too?

I'll be bringing my (just finished) Carolina tartan kilt. I may also have my X Marks kilt, if it gets well enough along to be "presentable."

I'll bring along my newly completed blue bonnet.

I'd really like to see how it would look with the XMTS tartan.

I'll be there in my Army tartan. Picking up a skirt I bought for my girlfriend - her birthday is Saturday. We're driving up from just south of Greenville, SC.

Just for those who might be interested, the museum will be having an open house that day. Nothing too terribly fancy. Free admission. Guided tours. A luncheon of home-made Scottish foods offered by the Friends of the Scottish Tartans Museum. Our hours are 10 to 5.

The ironic thing is that I may not even be there! Turns out I have Jury Duty this week, and each evening I have to call a hotline number to see if I will be needed the next day. It lasts till Friday, so potentially I may be sitting in court that day while all my kilted brethren are at the museum enjoying Scotch broth and shortbread!

So if you don't see me there, you'll know why!

Where "just south of Greenville" ???

I'll be coming up from Clinton (45 miles "just south of Greenville), up 385 to Downtown to pick up Dread. Then I'll need to figure out the best route north to either Highlands direct or through Cashiers.
(I prefer VERY twisty mountain roads, even if it is a longer way to get there).

Dread, I hope you don't get car sick.
Matt, I hope you'll be able to make it.
In the last 13 years, I've had jury duty 8 times, 3 in Georgia (in 5 years eligiable), once in Greenwood, and 4 times in Laurens county (that is 5 times in SC in 8 years). AND it is SUPPOSED to be "random"

Drat! I'd be there if I didn't have to work. It would be 5:00 before I arrived.
