    technical question

    Hi - I came acoss a thread yesterday talking about a bolt of tartan and the term double box pleat came up - I know what a knife and a box pleat is but can anyone describe for me a double box pleat.

    If you want to see some superb examples of Double Box Pleat Kilts, use the search function and look for threads containing "Ancienne Alliance" and then from the result find the threads from Ancienne Alliance.

    Robert is the Gentleman in the Kilt and his wife Lady Chrystel, makes them. There is some amazing photography to see too.

    There is one HERE to get you started.
