    Tentative Trip To Scotland!!!

Much to my surprise, the lovely lass that I will be marrying in just a few weeks has offered to take me to Scotland the week after the wedding! That is if our passports arrive on schedule. If not, we will have to postpone the trip a bit but I'm stoked! And I thought jonesing for a kilt was bad!

I know a week is not that much time there but it's all of the time off I get and I figure a week in Scotland is better than not going at all.

I, for one, am quite jealous.

    Good on you! Have fun!

    I resent you deeply.

Take billions of photos and pay attention. Soak in every subtle nuance. Not to be a buzzkill, but this may be a once-in-a-lifetime trip. You'll want to remember every second. Good on ya, lad.

    Yes she is!

As to the question of where we are going, I have a list of some definite stops. I really want to go to Glencoe, Loch Ness, Culloden, and the lands of my ancestors in Aberdeenshire. I also would like to go to Ayrshire as I have some ancestors from there too. I also would like for my bride to be to be able to go see some of Sutherland, as that's where her patriarchal line comes from.

So many places, so little time! I know I will have to forgo a couple of places I want to see in order for her to see some of Sutherland, but that's totally fair, I mean she is paying for the trip!

I know this is a once in a lifetime trip and I will savor every minute of it. Plenty of photos will be taken as well.
