    A Thank You

This most wonderful board provides many things, especially for us rural small town kilters.

Today I'm at work in my black UK Survival, black kilt hose, and red Old Navy fleece hoodie (with black lettering)...local high school colors are red and black...

My agency CEO (young man in his early 40s who accepts, but oft teases me about my kilts) started talking to me in the hallway. He got to a point where he asked me if I'd noticed that in the colder temperatures of winter that women stopped wearing skirts and wondered (with a smirk) if it wasn't perhaps too cold for me to be wearing kilts.

Just smiled and said that if he recalled his physics he'd know that heat rises...then I paused just the right amount of time then added, "besides, if you have a heater under there..."

He cracked up...flat lost it...doubled up with laughter...he knew he was "got."
A coworker standing with us smiled and told him, "Well, you walked right into that one."

    Thank you gentlemen, and ladies.

Couldn't have done that with the presence of mind I had without having you as a touchstone.

    That's a Spew Alert!

Glad I wasn't sippin the coffee!

I feel the same about this board, it really helps to read the comments, both good and bad, though most is very positive, even the criticism.

Thanks to the "Members" here, and those just looking in, need to join to really appreciate this group!

    That's great Ron!

Congrats on the acceptance at work. Think I am finally almost there myself.

Ron, I certainly agree with you, this place is a wealth of information not only of heritage, history and the like, but a great source of one liners. You did well with that response.

Good one! I'll have to remember that one.

I've found that good natured humor is often the best way to gain acceptance for something or someone knew. Glad to see you practice it so well.
