    They're learning...

I don't know why this amused me so much, but I'm getting ready to head to Myrtle Beach for a week of R&R with friends, and in preparation I dropped off a couple of kilts at the dry cleaners earlier in the week. When I picked them up this morning, I noticed that the tag that described 2 "women's fancy skirts; long pleats - $13.95" was sticken through and written in freehand was "2 men's kilts $8.95". For some reason it made me laugh out loud, and I learned 2 lessons: (1) women really do get ripped off on their dry cleaning costs; and, (2) people really are starting to recognize kilts in the mainstream.

In any event, I've packed three kilts, a fifth of Glenfiddich Special Reserve, a fifth of J&B Rare and my golf bag. What else could I possibly need for a week on the Grand Strand?

In Soviet Russia, kilt wears you.

Hey, oherewhere I live the cleaners charge a DOLLAR A PLEAT to iron pleats. That's ON TOP OF the dry-cleaning charge. I was quoted almost thirty bucks to dry-clean a wool kilt, so either the mens or women's rates sound good to me!
