    What organization do you belong to that does historical reenactments? I know there are many out there, that's why I ask.

    Like Matt says, random scrunchy pleating is most accurate. At that point in time it was the supreme freedom garment with no regard to stripe or sett.

    I am a member of the West Coast Rangers Historical Reenactment Club. Our members can pick their own time period, mine is anywhere from 1750 to 1850.
