    a TIE DYE KILT

    OK,
i made a joke about finding the fabric and getting a "TIE DYE" Kilt made.
Of course i didn't think that "TIE DYE" fabric was made in bulk.
Popping into a Fabricland location looking for camo fabric,
i found lots of different and wild "TIE DYE" fabric!
lots of different colour blends and patterns.
    now the question is..................
MacHummel, do you think you would be game to make a "TIE DYE" Kilt if i provide the fabric?
(and paid for your time, just noticed how that sounded like i expected you to work for free. lol!)
now it's not going to happen tomorrow, this stuff is $20.00/meter, so this is going to be a pricey trip to the

    uh..... Scottish 60's & 70's man!

every year for the past several years i see a tie-dyed Utilikilt at the Loch Norman Highland Games. as far as i know Utilikilts did a small run of tie-dye kilts. it is interesting. it has alot of blues purples and a little white in it. it is ok looking. not something i would wear though (however, i do love tie-dye shirts and have plenty of those).

I think this is a great idea. There are camo kilts out there why not tie-die? Post some pictures if you ever get a finished product. I don't think i'd ever wear one, but I like the idea.

You know, it's reasonably easy to "roll your own" tie-die. The Rit Dye web page even gives instructions....

I wonder if this is the same one? This photo appeared on the Utilikilts Gallery several years ago. Although I have fourteen Utilikilts, I really do not think I could wear one like this - at least, not in public!!

It would take a certain personality to pull off that look.

    I'd wear something like that.

Why not? Really... People stare at you for wearing what they think is a skirt... Give them something worth staring at.
