Trial by fire!
Went out today for the first time with my kilt where I was not going to a bar or event of some sort. I chose to go to Wal-Mart, and not a good one. The chosen store is in quite the "ethnic" neighborhood and not known for being the culturally friendly. After a few hoots, whistles, and typical questions, the female cashier finally asked "what are you wearing under there"?? There were no less than 15 people in the area and quite quiet when the question was asked. My response of "if I were a lucky man, it's be your lipstick" drew quite a laugh, including from the cashier. She even gave me a hug. I was somewhat nervous at first, but not any more. If I can get through that environment unscathed, I'll be good anywhere.
It doesn't hurt being a big fugger with a few tattoos
I'm going to try and post a pic, but please bear with me ;)

Congrats on a good outing!

Good for you, Joey!
You're bundled up. Is it cold there?

I'm less than a mile from Lake Michigan and it was somewhat cold and very windy today.

Yup, it's cold up yonder. You have experienced the power of the kilt! I like the tartan too.

Good looking wee un in the foreground. The kilt looks good on you. I can see you still have plenty of snow out the window behind you. I congratulate you on the outing. I am known for being in a kilt. I get questioned when I am wearing trousers, but then I live in a very diverse city. Turban, Sari, dashki, or whatever else is common around here.

Job done!
And you are a bit of a bruiser aren't ya! Most people who are ignorant enough to make comments will make them to a skinny little twerp like me, but you look like you could squash most fellas like ants.
Remind me to not tick you off!
Hello nurse! Is it time for more meds already? Well, alright, but I'm just in the middle of posting... Ouch! Hey... Ohh!... I... feel... much... calmer... already...

Sounds a lot like the Walmart in Paducah KY. I always get a weird feeling when I go into that one.
