    Tripp Green Plaid Kilt (UGLY)

In my mind this is top of the list for ugly Kilts, check out this site HotTopic. I'm all for the Punk look, but this shouldn't be called a Kilt.

I know I'm fairly new to kilt wearing and I'm not an expert by any imagination, that is NOT a kilt. It is kilt like, but not a kilt.

for a beginer it looks like a nice way to get them interested in the real thing at least, not for me but for the younger generation of up and coming kilt wearers why not, I am sure the same thing was said of the UKs originally

True, it's strange, for a kilt, but it is popularizing the kilt among young guys, and that to my mind outweighs its flaws.

    Indeed. Old news.

I'm with Gilmore on this. The Tripp is not for me, but I'm all for it if it helps make the kilt concept popular with the younger generation.
