I've got a Buzz Kidder brown sporran on order and have been thinking about dying it a darker brown too. I'd be interested in seeing pictures of how yours turned out. Nearest Tandy store is an hour and a half away so I called them yesterday and had them ship me a 3/4" leather strap and some silver buckles for a sporran strap. I already have plenty of dye in the color I want, and a new pair of brown boots and new wingtips for dressier. Damn accessories are gonna bankrupt me. Make sure you read my earlier thread about Buzz Kidder and the delay in shipping. They did overnight it, but did not sned the shirt that I was promised. Maybe on back order.
Glad the leather dye worked out for you. I've got a Buzz Kidder Country Sporran in black, and really like it. The leather is heavy, yet soft. It's a very roomy sporran - my favorite.
