    Two years and waiting

Well, I ordered a kilt two (2) years ago and am still waiting. The kilt was invoiced when I made another purchase. Question: Should I wait longer or cancel the order?

I don't know where it was ordered from, but 2 years is WAY too long for anything... Unless you're actually commissioning the breeding of the sheep for a particular type of wool.

Perhaps you could give us a bit more of a background explanation?

Without more details I voted cancel. I suppose it's possible there are some extenuating circumstances as yet unrevealed which might be considered though.

Cancel - two years is too long. But, if they have billed your credit card, taken a cash deposit, you are most likely out that money.

Hey Kiltman, I would try to either get back the money I put out, (through the credit card company if that is how you paid) or hound the kilt maker til you get what you paid for. If that doesn't work, I'd cancel the order. Let me know if you want details, but Strathmore Woollens would do right by you if you want a good handmade kilt.

P.S. If you are gonna be at the Spokane Highland Games on 8-7-10, swing by the Clan MacLean tent. I think I'll be wearing my MacLean Hunting Modern for this occasion.

If its the kiltmaker I suspect it is you're flat out in a hopeless situation...know two guys waiting six years. Faint chance of getting your money back, or getting a kilt.

Wonder why you're withholding the kiltmaker's name? We like to warn each other as well as steer each other to good deals.

Waited nearly 2 years for a shotgun I commissioned, but a kilt?? Get to the bottom of this, theres something being left off here, clue us in. If everything is a normal custom order, I am afraid you are hosed.

Kilt or other product, I'd scream it from the rooftops not to use the vendor. 2 years is longer than it takes for a car, any kilt (even custom cloth), heck... even a HOUSE to be built from the ground up.

I agree! Two years is way too long! Unfortunately, it may be difficult to get your money back or even the kilt itself. If they don't have a presence here on XMarks, a warning to others may be of limited help as well. Over the years, we've all seen postings that began like "I wish I had found this place before I ordered X from X..."
