    UK comments yet again

I had mentioned in another thread awhile back that every time i wear my UK I get a positive comment about it. Well today was no exception.

I work in a cd/music store...while at the counter ringing a guy in....

dude: "Wow, that's cool, is that some sort of combat kilt?"
(i was wearing a workman's with big boots and a long wallet chain)

me: *smiling* uh...yeah I guess you could call it that (i knew he meant it as a compliment)

dude: "right on, well then I hope you're on my side"
He then gave me a thumbs up sign and left the store with his purchase.

I wasn't exactly sure how to take that last comment, but I'm hoping it meant he thought it looked tough.

HAHA. YEah, sound's like he thought it looked "tough."

A couple of the guys "riverkilt and KCW" seem to think I need a black workman's to go with my "look."

Hey Brad, maybe you need to head to PEI to hook up with Cloves and show the locals your colors!

Hehe. Well, the ears and extensive tattooing actually came pretty quickly (a few short years.) It happens like that when ya tattoo for a living. Yeah, I think we'd definately make an interesting pair o' kilties.

I'm with "dude." There are numerous leaders, soldiers and mercenaries out there to be sure. As a warrior, citizen, beneficiary of anothers' protective presence, there are certain ones of all of those that I definitely want to be near at crunch time.
I believe that in the image you cast, "dude" saw a model of a hoped for ally. The protector, a guardian of the treasure that is our posterity. The force to be reckoned with. A model of leadership, the vanguard.
It's a good image! look at me!

well that's cool Morrison, I guess secretly I've sorta thought of myself as Amazonian in the warrior sense.
