Utilikilt Workman's a Hazard to Social Graces!!

So last night my lady and I went to Paria Outpost up in Utah for dinner and to stay in their bed and breakfast. A lovely time.

This morning at breakfast I'm sitting in one of those cheap molded plastic chairs that a lot of funky restaurants use. Easy to clean, grooves in the bottom so that water doesn't pool up in the seat. You can seem them in white or green at most any discount store, cost a couple of bucks.

When I finished breakfast and got up the chair came with me!!

I was wearing my chocolate UK Workman's kilt and apparently the male end of one of the modesty snaps that are on the back center of the kilt had become wedged into the groove in the plastic chair. It had pushed on through the groove so I was "snapped" to the chair.

Now I'm standing there in front of other folks with a chair dangling from my kilt. I can't access it to repair the situation. I had to back up to my lady for her to figure it out and undo me.

Both sadly, and fortunately, no one thought to snap a photo.

So, if you're wearing a UK Workman's kilt be VERY careful when you sit in one of those cheap molded plastic chairs with grooves in the seat.

The best moments seem to always happen without a camera handy or the thought to snap a flick

I hate those cheap, plastic chairs. But then at 280lbs, any cheap, flimsy furniture is a hazard.

Rigged, it's not a lot safer at 225. I've had the legs break off two of them in my yard.

OK Ron my advise to you is don't eat at any place that has those cheap plastic chairs, they have a tendency to attack a man in a Kilt everytime. Yes I too am speaking from experience, mine came while I was sitting waiting for the light rail and the snap got caught on the mesh of bench that I was sitting on.

Wow Glen, didn't even think of them mesh benches...

Can't not go to Paria Outpost, its run by a lovely old hippie/Rainbow Family couple (coming to your area this July 4th) who fix delicious BBQ and invite local musicians out to play. The place is in the middle of the beautiful Paria River Canyon...maybe I should bring a seatpad to put down first....

A little off topic, but back when I was riding a bike, I used a biker wallet , the kind on a chain. I had the chain get caught in similar chairs a couple of times. I don't own a UK, so I haven't run into your problem.

Or make sure the kilt doesn't have modesty snaps on them before going I haven't had that problem in my workmans but I'm going to be on the lookout for it now....

Or hey, just occured to me. I can get the female half to match those snaps

and snap them over the back male halves of the modesty snaps.
