    Vanity plates......

I'm curious to know how many of you have - or would like to have - personalized auto license plates showing your enthusiasm for kilts.

My plates are now old, very weathered, and on need of replacement. I'm thinking about getting vanity plates containing the word "kilt". In Ontario, custom plates may be up to 8 characters and I've been playing with a few possibilities ->

    UP*KILTS
    KILTS*UP
    KILTCHEX
    99*KILTS
    GO*KILTS
    KILTSAYE
    KILTS4ME
    GOKILTED

    Anyone have any other suggestions??

Obviously, it has to be checked by the government office for duplication etc. but it's fun to consider the idea.

    thanx

I like your idea of "GOKILTED"

I'd never thought of this. But, unfortunately it's not possible for me. Well, I suppose it is, but I'm not willing to make the sacrifice.

 What am I talking about you ask?

I have a U.S. Air Force veteran plate on my Suzuki Samurai (and one on my wee little motorcycle too.) In NM you can't have that plate "vanitized." The alpha-numeric layout won't allow it.

So, I had to decide which I wanted: vanity plate, or an VET plate. They're both "vanity" in essence I suppose though...

I am with the ink-ed one...I like that one too.

I don't have a vanity plate, but I do have a small oval sticker on the back that says "kilted". I bought it from the Tartans Museum (props to Matt and Ronan).

In Soviet Russia, kilt wears you.

    How about GR8 KILT?

Yes, that adds to the message - I imagine confused/curious people checking their road atlas after seeing

    KILT CHEK

I am easily moved for sympathy for dogs, far more so than for humans, because dogs do not understand. There is no way to explain that you will return, that the vet will make it all better, that they cannot go shooting today because that is not what today is about. They cannot work out that their misery is finite and will some time end, and so their misery is magnified.
