    A very interesting look at the Edwardians

    i just noticed this thread after i put the picture in the vintage kilts section its a pity there wasnt more old rare colour images from those times

    Fascinating. It really is interesting to see color from that time period. I especially love the lady's hat!
    I have a fever, and the only prescription is MORE KILT

    Right, you meant the the lady pictured in the linked article... and that is one spectacular hat... (and King Edward's ain't half bad either!)

    The "color" on many of these old photos is actually painted on with watercolor on black and white photos by skillful photographers of the time.

    Autochromes were not painted B&W images though.

    Sorry , but there is a wealth of colour photographs from that time, they were unusual , granted, but they do exist.....
