| | | A visit to USA Kilts
This past Friday, on my way to Cape May, NJ, I had the opportunity to stop in at USA Kilts. Wow, what a great store. I was like the kid in the candy shop. I ended up buying many items, but had to leave before I went broke.
I talked to Rocky a bit, but he was busy with another customer, so I really didn't have the chance to "really" talk to him.
Anyway, if you have the opportunity to stop by, and if you're in the Philly area, go and see the cool stuff in Rocky's shop. I will return soon! |

So cool! I hope to make a pilgrimage down in the next few months to have Rocky take my measurements properly before I ever order another kilt.
Too bad there are no pics of your trip...

Here's what I bought: a real nice waistcoat, kilt hanger, and kilt pin. I wanted to buy, like, everything, but since I was on a long weekend vacation, I had to cool my buying urges!
I highly recommend a visit there. Phoenixville is about 9 miles north of the PA Turnpike, not too far from Valley Forge and King of Prussia. |

It kills me that I used to live maybe 25 minutes from his shop and did not know it was there. Ironically, after I moved to South Carolnia and found XMTS, I was able to tell a friend who still lives near Phoenixville about the shop.

As much as I truly enjoy the ordering and jonesing process, there's something very cool about visiting a kilt shop! Great story.

Ah, crud! I just realized where that is. I spent a few days in Exton, and before that, near Baltimore, and never realized I was that close! (Baltimore is close to Phoenixville if you came all the way from Florida, that is.) If I get back there next year, I'll have to stop in. Thanks for posting -- got me to look that up.

Awesome! I'm headed up there for wedding in a couple of months and staying in KoP. I grew up not 40 miles from Phoenixville. What an area!

I've had the pleasure of visiting Rocky too and wound up buying a different tartan (casual) than had I shopped on line. It makes a world of difference to see and touch the woven cloth and see the colors up close. I walked in thinking that I would be measured and would order a kilt. I walked out with one in hand. Although I did not wear it home, I proudly carried it out on a hanger that I also purchased there. It's hard to resist when Kelly tells you how great a particular tartan looks on you! OK, you've been warned!
