    The wait is killing me!

The wait is killing me! I am the only one or is this a symptom of the addiction? I ordered my first kilt from Stillwater on Sept. 14th. Here it's progress so far.

    Canada Post
Date of Event Time of Event Location

2006/09/28 15:37 Item was released from Customs and is now with Canada Post for sortation

2006/09/21 13:56 International shipment has arrived in Canada
2006/09/19 12:50 International item has left the origin country and is en route to Canada

2006/09/19 03:19 International shipment has left the origin country and is en route to Canada

This is not a reflection of Stillwater Kilts customer service, it is just an observation of Canada Customs and Canada Post. The folks at Stillwater have been very helpful with great communication. I hope by posting this it will tweak the kilt gods to be kind to me!

    Cheers

I've had the Canadian Post put my Jones into high gear MORE than once.

I sent a kilt to BC and it arrived in about 10 days from Arizona. So half the time it was in customs. O'Neille

I am also waiting something to be shipped here from the States. Hopefully I will get it before the end of the month.

Oh man... I know how it feels. It seems things take forever to get to Hawaii. And the wait for my "tank" outta Scotland took MONTHS! It was crazy.

The reports we read of near overnight service from Stillwater in the US does not apply here in the Great White North. Our customs and postal services are giant machines that work at their own pace unfazed by the aspirations of Joe public. If there was a Stillwater Kilts Canada Ltd., there might be an improvement.

My first kilt was a handsewn traditional. The tartan had to be specially woven by Locharron.

I ordered it at the end of April and picked it up at the beginning of September.

Just for perspective. I hope yours arrives soon.

    Ah yes, Canada Post

On my first cross-Canada train trip I mailed a post card from Winnipeg to a friend in Ventura. It took a full 5 months to get there.
