The waiting is the hardest part

Hmmm.... Maybe Tom Petty has experience ordering kilts.... Anyway...

In order to alleviate the jones while on Mr. Newsomes often lengthy wait list, I decided to order another kilt with a shorter jones to tide me over. According to the USPS website, my USAK Casual should be on my doorstep when I get home today. So I get to sit here for another (roughly) three hours, watching the clock, until I can go home and retrieve it. I hope it doesn't get lonely waiting on me.....

Waiting is no fun. I ordered a utilikilt at the beginning of the month. It was labelled as "available" on the website. Two days later I get an email telling me it's made to order only and I'll have to wait four to six weeks. Bummer.

The last time I ordered a kilt, the tracking site showed that it was on my doorstep two hours after lunch. I was actually considering taking a couple hours off work and going home early. The last couple hours always seem the longest. Especially when you know it's in a package on your porch and you're still at work.

As promised, here are the pictures of my new USAK Casual.

The pleats are slightly wrinkled from shipping, but nothing that can't be fixed with a good ironing. All in all, very good quality and I really love the tartan. The nice part is that it shares colors with the Elliot Ancient I have on order from Matt, so I can use the same flashes/garters and hose with both kilts. I'll be getting a darker brown set of hose that more closely match the colors in the tartan here before too much longer.
