    Walk 'round the lake

I decided to go for a quick walk around the lake after work today, and since my weekend was kiltless, I donned my Black Stewart for the trip... a very casual and understated look, but I got several compliments. I snapped a quick photo before I left.

Nice look. What are you standing in front of? Is it just a coincidence that it looks like the saltire?

No coincidence at all... I bought a couple of 3'x5' flags (one for the home, one for my office @ work) off eBay last week and I hung one up over the weekend in my music room/study. Made a nice backdrop, eh?

The only thing missing is the young lass on your arm. Perhaps you managed to attract one while you were on your walk about the lake?

    Great look-Kilt and flag!

Haha... Well, I'm a few steps ahead of you on that one. I snagged one about 6 years ago actually... She's put up with me for this long, and I'm happy to say we are getting married in the fall of this year!

Many thanks... for those who may be wondering, I will not be getting married in a kilt (I would want to have the family tartan (Lamont) for that), but there will be kilts throughout the weekend (rehearsal dinner, etc.). A buddy of mine will be wearing his kilt that I'm purchasing for him as a groomsman's gift, and our very own Tartan Hiker's son may be playing the pipes as part of our ceremony. I believe the kilt may make an appearance at the reception as well. Can't you tell I'm planning this out WAY in advance?
