    waterfront park festivities

I went across the street to Myrtle Edwards Park here on the Seattle waterfront. Saturday and Sunday was an annual event called the hempfest. My friend and I walked the length of the organized activities hoping to see more than what we expected. In the hour and a half we were there, we saw four other kilt wearing men. Some very well worn UK originals and mockers were present as well as my SWK Wallace econ. I'm sure that in the day and the next many more kilt wearing men were there. So, it must have been a successful event! (no logic or reasoning. just bold assumption!) And you should have heard and seen some of the remarks and gestures aimed at me! All of the gestures were excellent. Ranging from a thumbs up to big grins and nodding up and down of the head! The voiced remarks? Well...? I'm good, baby. I'm good. All but one was printable! They all got a "Thank you, or a thanks," acknowledgement. The other remark, well... my friend fielded that response. The female making the remark was quickly presented with a less than cordial retort from my female friend! The other one, we hope, learned to think before saying something rude in a crowd. Must have been 5000 or 7000 people there all at once! Later, my friend and I laughed about it with great energy!!

"Hempfest"...it's all about rope, right? LOL

Hope the unwitting female with her comments learned something in that exchange.

I figure little learned. Mostly it's about not being able to leave the 60's and 70's hippie thing behind where it belongs and getting on with real life. No rope just old memories best left for ashes.
