We Still Have A Long Way To Go

So kilts are a fashion boom for men. Kiltmakers and kilt boards and kilt accessory makers are flourishing.

Yet....today I walked into the Ouray Brewery in Ouray, Colorado and the bartender looked at me and said, "Wow, a Utilikilt!"

I was wearing my hand sewn Isle of Skye tartan kilt in 16 ounce strome wool from Lochcarron....

His heart was in the right place.

    Gave him some polite education...

And no, I'm not back on the booze - was there with friends to find out what the place offered for dinner.

Well... What did you have for dinner?

Holy cripes Ron, My wife and I were there two weeks ago. I got compliments the whole time there. We had just come back from a hike to Yankee Basin. Was wearing my MacKenzie I use for hiking and such. At least, like you said, the bartender's heart was in the right place.

Ya, elk burgers are good. Also a fan of buffalo flesh; it's been a long time though...

If there isn't a dead animal on my plate, my meal is just not complete.

    I'll drink to that!

You know what, the guy didn't quite understand the difference, but that's awesome that he sort of recognized it .
