    Weekend remarks ..

On Sat we visited a relation in Raglan. On route the wife and my mother wanted to go again to the Usk Farmers Market. They went off to the market and I went straight into the pub by the bus stop and waited for them there. I've mentioned this pub in another thread, the nags head, super expensive. I sat there for ages first, then eventually bought a half a beer for me and a half a lager for them both to share, just before I was expecting them back to re-group. The assistant manager served me by the way.

Back to the title of the thread .. before we left I went to the loo. As I went through the lounge part to get there, the landlord (60's+) and thinks alot of himself, was sat at a table with a lady chatting. He said to me in a very sarcastic tone and big headed way and too impress this woman no doubt, 'Ahh, its the man in the welsh skixx'
All I said was 'UP YOURS' .. it certainly threw him of course a little and the lady looked confused as well ...
Last comment of the weekend was on Sunday when we all went out for Sunday Lunch .. 17 of us.
I went to the loo at one point and stood between to guys (40+) at the urinal. The guy on my right said, 'Its flipping easy for you', we all had a laff, they were good guys and we chatted about the footy that was on.
Anyhow, enough of this warbling on ... On Sat we go to Monmouth on a Pub adventure ..so will take pics and post them

Sounds like another reason not to darken the door of the nag's head again, good for you for telling him off.

    Derek,

Love the pub picture. Overall a nice cilted outing. The landlord probably wound up impressing the lady he was with as being as being a rather insecure man trying to somehow elevate his self-esteem.

Hmm I sense a thread coming on for Dreadbelly's Colourful Insults™.

A simple "Up yours" is a good staple, proper delivery is everything. Ya did good I am sure.
