    Weight

Out of interest I just went and weighed my Sporran packed with my usual garb and my Cilt. My Sporran came in at 2lb 4ozs (a little over 1kg I think) and my Cilt 2lb 12ozs (about 1.2kg). So in total I'm lugging around nigh on 5lb (2.2kg). I was quite surprised.
Would be interesting to know how much weight with Cilt/Kilt and Sporran anyone else is lugging around with them.

I've never bothered to weigh any of my current clothing, but I do know that after wearing firefighting gear (which weighs about 75 lbs) anything seems light by comparison!

Odd question. But I know that kilted, I carry less than when I am working: about 30 lbs total of leather, gear, uniform, and vest for 12 hour shifts.

I have always been around 5 pounds over and beyond my weight in my birthday suit, whether I wore those dreaded trousers or me being happily Kilted.

Unless you are physically unable to move around while kilted, I think it isn't much of an issue. I'm sure my kitt weighs in at about the normal 5lbs, at least until I load up my sporran.

Just look at the great shape your going to be in after carrying that extra weight and you don't have to buy ankle weights.
