Well that's cool...

It was raining today (thank GOD! First time in months!) so I decided to wear the best fabric for rain: wool. I put on my J Higgins kelly green solid kilt with kelly green wool hose, houndstooth wool jacket conversion, thing brown wool sweater and my wool cap. I think I looked pretty sharp.

Today was the day to pick a lottery number for choosing which dorm you live in next semester, so I went to the office to get my number. While waiting in line, this guy says, "Wow, you're my hero" and then quickly adds, "Not to be creepy, I mean. It's just your kilt is awesome." Of course, we start talking (obviously this guy knew good taste when he saw it) and he tells me his band is playing this Friday at the tavern on campus. The other guy he was with, a mutual friend of mine, asks if I would be interested in playing my bagpipes. Hearing that, the first guys eyes light up. "What!?! You play bagpipes too! Man, if you come up on stage a play a bit, we'll buy your drinks all night!" Well, I'm sold.

So yeah, I got a gig tonight. Doesn't pay, per se, but free drinks??? Yeah, this is going to be a good night.
