Went out for Halloween Last Night

I went out for halloween last night. Some things I learned
    1. If you dress as Rowdy Roddy Piper thoroughly study his career, because people will expect you to be able to discuss every aspect of it.
    2. When some middle aged ladies ask what you are wearing under your kilt and you refer them to your girlfriend for an answer make sure she's up to speed on the "keeping it a mystery" concept
    3. Hear "Niiice Kilt!" at least 20 times!

Well I didn't "dress up" for halloween at work today but I did wear the kilt.
    Results.
First kilted fistfight. Lame (I'm a bouncer)
Saw a guy wearing the infamous "Big Shot Scot" costume and with the assistance of another kilted door guy proceeded to give him nine kinds of hell at the door much to the amusement of the people in line behind him.
A Scottish man and woman came in and when I asked him how I did (indicating my kilt) he said
"pretty f***n good!" This pretty much made my night... well this and one of our really attractive female regulars answering "the question" for herself by dropping to one knee and sticking her head under my kilt.

I didn't get that last night but on two different St. Patrick's Days I had a younger woman stick a camera up there and another lady probably in her 80's try to flip it up with her cane.....during the parade. (She really was a hoot and I could hear the crowd roar as she tried it with someone else in our band further back).

If I had a Pound for every time I've had my bare butt felt, well, I'd only have to work half the week!

Good for you, Mattatacat! I wore a great kilt last night for a Celtic Samhain festival. It was a unique experience, but I didn't get the same reacton as you, unfortunately.

I've been wearing kilts for over 30 years but this year is the first time I recall ever wearing a kilt on Halloween.

I played pipes at a wedding at the Rose Garden at the Disneyland Hotel and afterwards marched all the attendees though Downtown Disney to the Grand Californian Hotel.

Well, Downtown Disney was packed with people and most of them were in costume. It's one of the few times that I could march around amongst the General Public in full kit and not look out of place in the least.

Last summer, I had someone ask if I was Rowdy Roddy Piper's dad. I guess I'm past the age of passing for RRP himself.
