What was said after I left

Back in June I told you guys that I was going to a friends house for a barbecue and it was to be my first time kilted amongst them. So I was talking to my friend the other night and he told me what was said after I left...

Dad: So what's with Ron wearing a kilt?

Jim: I dunno. He likes wearing them. I'd wear one too if I had one.

Dad: So what was he wearing under that thing?

Jim: Exactly what you're supposed to wear under a kilt.

    Dad: (chuckles)

    Mom: What?

Not really any point to this story. Just thought it was amusing.

    And it is amusing, thanks.

Mom: "So what was with Ruth wearing pants to the party?"

Jane: "I dunno, she likes wearing them. I think I'm gonna buy some pants too."

Mom: "She didn't seem to be wearing a bra."

Jane: "She must enjoy the freedom."

    Mom: (chuckles)

    Dad: What??
