What Wildlife Have You Encountered While Kilted?

A lot of us are hikers, or explore remote areas that are more home to wildlife than humans. And, of course a lot of wildlife visits us in urban areas.

I've seen occasional posts of encounters, stories and sometimes pics.

Thought maybe it'd be fun to bring the encounters with wildlife while kilted stories and pics to a central location.

Have seen many Golden Eagles soaring while kilted, never managed a pic. Did get a pic of a Bald Eagle on the Navajo reservation near the South Rim of the Grand Canyon...but with a small camera...majestic for sure.

On that same trip encountered some deer close up. They get too used to folks around the South Rim. Might not even be correct to call them "wild" anymore.

I'm lucky to live near the California Condor release areas along the Vermillion Cliffs. Was kilted when I got this pic of a baby California Condor from the old Navajo Bridge over Marble Canyon. Was actually looking down on him/her.

Was doing my Riverkilt thing, kilted floating down Glen Canyon of the Colorado River when I got this pic of a Bighorn Ram.

Good camo eh? He's near the center left.

And, on another kilted river trip got this pic of a baby Blue Heron still in the nest. Doesn't look like for much longer though.

So, come on. Share your stories and pics of wildlife you've encountered while kilted.

Ron those are great pictures as always, the only wild life I have personally encountered while kilted was an overly enthusiastic kilt checker at the pub one evening.
