Who wears a kilt everyday?

This is a question I have been asking myself for some time. I don’t think I have ever made a secret of the fact that kilt-wearing for me is something reserved for special occasions, weddings, social events, ceilidhs, going to church – that kind of thing. What I think I have learned belonging to this forum, however, is that for many kilt-wearing is a daily event, almost an obsession even, and that is not for me.
Another recent occurrence where I experienced attitudes formed within a society obsessed by mortality and the various ways of achieving which were somehow attributed to me. Coming as I do from a society with such different attitudes to these matters this only served to bring home how our two societies, despite sharing a common ancestry to such a large degree, have since diverged in attitude to such a remarkable extent.
I have met many kind, and I have no doubt, sincere and genuine people here and will continue to drop by from time to time to see how you are getting on but I realise now that it is not somewhere I can ever fully belong.

I think it would be folly to think that because you dont wear a kilt every day you dont fit in. Try and look past what seems like the obvious and you'll probably see that no body here is obsessed with kilts in an unhealthy way.
In the 9084 days I have been alive, I've worn a kilt for 2 days, both special occations, weddings.

So please, do pop in again from time to time, I (for one) have thought well of your posts and think of you as a valued contributer.

I think that kilt it is also a symbol for freedom, also the freedom to wear it every time we want, few or many they are during every year.
I wear my kilt almost every day, only I cannot wear it at work, but I respect every kiltman without thinking about the times he wear the kilt!
I have adifferent way of judging the persons, based on values and not on clothes...

I enjoy reading your insights on various topics that you bring from a Scottish and Edinburgh point of view so I hope your visits are still fairly frequent.

I don't wear a kilt every day, I do sometimes on the weekends and some stuff, but I wear pants.

I wear the kilt every day, but I consider myself very lucky in that respect, and it has only happened in the last several years. But being retired does have it's advantages.

Phil you see I'm like you I only wear a Kilt for Scottish events. I take great pride
in my heritage and don't care the least for the "new" kilts. But to each there own.
But the wealth of information one can pick up here is awesome! I some times feel
a wee bit of disgrace for the national garb too. But like I said to each there own.
