    Why Is It

    Hell-o All,

Why is it that Kilts bring out the wanton desire of other males?

Case in point, a guy I know who works at the coffee shop, who is also working on his Masters degree (International Studies) has come up to me more than once and asked if we could go and party at some local pub. Of course I asked him why, and he said he thinks I am a lot of fun and the Kilt is such an added plus. He was overheard by another and said he too would like to hang out with a Kilted guy. So who knows what will happen?

Whaddayou...a "wingman"? Tell them to get their own kilts and then you can all go out in a proper rabble and raise the standards at your local drinkeries.

I think these guys have seen the effect that a kilt has on the ladies, but they're still not secure enough to get their own. They are hoping for a little "spillover".

agreed.... tell them to get off your coat tails and get their OWN kilts. After all... do they want your table scraps or their own plate?

Because they realise that women love a man in a kilt, but they don't have the guts (yet) to wear one. With you around kilted, they know that people (mostly women) want to party with the kilted guy, and they get to be cool by association.

...and this from a kilt maker! Oy!

But as I thought about it, it's a win-win situation for your un-kilted buddy.

If a chick walks up and says, "oooh! I love a guy in a kilt!", he can say: "Yeah....WE always wear OUR kilts...mine's at the cleaner's just now...yup...got some mud (or blood if he's REALLY creative) on it at the rugby match and I had to drop it off..."

If she says, "What's with your friend? How come he's wearing a skirt?", he can say: "...yeah, poor guy...he's a little confused these days...but that's why a true friend like me goes out with him...just to keep an eye on him...yeah, I'm a pretty good guy, I guess..."

Make this guy show up in a kilt...even if you have to find a "loaner" for him...make him walk a mile in another man's ghilly brogues!
