    WooHoo - New Kilt

Well folks, I have been whining for a week about a new kilt that had come in while I was out of town. This is my FIRST hand sewn, made to measure, kilt and it was ordered from the KiltStore. The tartan is the MacKinnon 1842 variant and I must say I am quite pleased! The fit and the feel is nothing like I have experienced before.

I am also sporting for the first time a chocolate brown belt and sporran hangers from Cavscout and his work is as excellent as always. The brass belt and clasps on the hangers stand out quite nicely. Lastly is a new MKIII sporran from Freelander Sporrans and I am very pleased with it as well! All in all, I am extremely pleased!!!

Pleast shots will be coming soon, the ones I took during the above photo showed a lot more of the backs of my thighs than I am willing to show here (a combination of wind and camera angle!)

Now to patiently wait for the IOS box pleat from Matt!

Another nicely put together outfit, congratulations on the new kilt, sporran and belt.

A nice looking outfit. The red tartan goes nicely with the chocolate brown belt and sporran. You will find the Freelander sporran very practicable for carrying lots of stuff!

Wonderful Splash. Glad to see you revceiving some of the anticipated kilts. Along with the IOS from Matt, don't you also have another MacKinnon (hunting perhaps?) tartan kilt on order from him?

I do, I do! (great memory Brad!) The problem with that particular kilt is that they have to weave the material first! (It is the MacKinnon Hunting Ancient that I am waiting for) I epxect both of those toward's the end of April or the first part of May.

I am beginning to wonder if I am addicted though? The above pictured kilt is my 4th (and first handmade)... Now with the two on order, the xmarks material (to be made into a military box pleat) minus the one given away... that leaves me with 6.... No where near Riverkilt or Hamish, but, there is time!
