The Woolenmill...anyone ever?
Has anyone here dealt with The Woolenmill before? https://www.woollenmill.co.uk/
I have just been looking at a lot of different places lately and trying to get a bit of knowledge about different kiltmakers from all over.
I didn't happen to find anything in a search on here so I thought I'd start a new thread.

Hey Scott,
I've not online ordered from these folks but I've bought from their shops in Scotland.
The shops are fairly touristy, however, their goods seem to be of good quality.
Last year I bought a tweed kilt jacket on sale for 100 pounds. Better than would've done here.

I'm sure that you can search around and find some reviews of the quality and pictures of the kilts...that might give you some frame of reference about that particular dealer.

I got my "MacMillan" from them and others have had Isle of Skye from them.
They usually source from Marten Mills and the budget kilts are machine sewn but the quality is good but of course the length and seat are standard. They do offer a bespoke service also but the price rises accordingly.

A good source for the legendary Isle of Skye. Their shop is perhaps a bit "touristy" but I'd still consider it one of the "bright spots" on the Royal Mile these days...

I figured someone here would have picked up something from them or at the very least been in the shop to look at something.

Wonder how far you are from Barb Tewksbury? Why not go direct with the kiltmaker? Or are you looking for inexpensive kilts?

I was in the shop a few weeks ago. It appears to have changed ownership since the last time I was in it and they were no longer carrying such an extensive range of kilt-related goodies. I have no idea who the owners are other than that I had my suspicions they may possibly have links to the Gold Bros mentioned elsewhere on this site. Most of the stock they carry is rugs, scarves that kind of thing. They looked at me pretty blankly when I asked if they sold Balmorals.
