    Work story.

So, last week saw the first day I wore my kilt to work. Most people either thought it was cool, or had sincere questions about kilts (particularly because I was wearing a camo kilt - not UK style).

One of my supervisors got a little weirded out by it and so I asked her why. She said that she didn't want to think about what was under the kilt. While I didn't say it to her (what with the possibility of it being misconstrued and then finding myself in the HR office), all I could think was, "Why, were you thinking about what was under my clothing the rest of the week?"

The first co-worker (male) who outright asked what I was wearing under my kilt got the following response: "While the typical response to that question is humorous; at work I'll just mention that if you were to ask a female co-worker what they were wearing under their skirt you'd probably be in the manager's office right now."

Great, great answer! And still pretty humorous.

Just so you know, you could make it totally all-purpose and say, "If you were to ask a co-worker what they were wearing under their clothes you'd probably be in the manager's office right now." Remind the womenfolk we can be sexist tools, too!

    That's cool.
I've only been asked 3 times in the last year, since I first wore the kilt
Two guys, one woman. All three were easily embarrassed.

Don't remember what I answered with, come to think of it.

That's a very good response, as well as Shay's more general statement. The workplace is really not the place to be asking about anyone's undergarments.
