    X-marks tartan

    Greetings,

I was doing a search and reading to find out more about the x-marks tartan. I was wondering if there had been any interest in another possible order lately??

Not at present. If another run becomes a possibility, you'll read about it here.

And just a reminder, even though getting a group bulk order together can help keep the cost down, it is still possible for individuals to simply place the order for custom weave cloth.

We offer this service through the Scottish Tartans Museum, and I know others do as well. You can get 100% wool cloth, 29" wide, with a minimum order of 4 yards. The cost is $65 per yard. This is for either 16 oz or 11 oz wool, woven in Scotland.

Just let me know if interested.

Thanks Matt, I neglected to mention your availability of custom weave material.

Its worth every penny too. A beautiful tartan that has"go with most anything" colors to it.

Git you one son....it's a perfect "party kilt."

Before a custom, post a request for some on the "wanted" section of the forum. When I got my half of A Hay's X Marks material, a few (2 kiltmakers, of I correctly recall) said they has some left over.

That said, there are QUITE a few who joined after me, and I just missed the last fabric run. There may be interest in the near future though, as some "newbies" may want a kilt in that nice tartan.

All it takes is an "interested party" to e-mail Steve at Freedom kilts for the particulars, and then take on the job of collecting money, making the order, getting in the tartan and shipping it out. It will be less expensive if they are Canadian.

None of that is hard, it just happens to be a bit of work....and no, I'm not volunteering!
