And you thought Jonesing was bad...

Talked to my lass today. I had a feeling this was going to happen when I saw the email from the USPS. During my leave time, we dropped in on USA Kilts. Once I recovered from tartan-sensory overload, we got down to the business of kilt ordering. Rocky measured my up for my premier kilt and helped me figure out everything else I needed. Jen walked around the store and fell in love with the outfit on a mannequin - a red sweater with a kilted skirt in the American Heritage tartan. A short while later we walked out with orders for 1 premier kilt in the Clark tartan, 4 semi-trads (Irish National, American Heritage, Stewart Black, and Thompson Camel), and 2 kilted skirts (American Heritage and Clark). Today I called home and Jen told me that the semi-trad and her skirts had arrived. Talk about speed. We only ordered them 4 weeks ago! So now, here I am stuck in ACU trousers, just like everyone else, with 4 new kilts waiting for me at home. Luckily, we won't be doing the full 15 months here. This is going to be the longest 10 weeks of my year. Hopefully there's a picture being taken of my new kilts as we speak. At least I can see them, if not wear them.

Well at least they will be there when you get home, gives you one other thing to look forward too. Pictures when you can, and please when it comes pictures and a review of the Premier would be appreciated. Congratulations on the new kilts.

Cruel and unusual no less! USAK kilts are SWEET! I have one in the Clark tartan, and I love it! (yes, I'm trying to torture you just a little more... At least I'm not posting pictures of myself in it.)

I must say you know how to 'spend' your leave time! But this is not really Jonesing as the kilts are waiting for you!

It just got worse (better?)! My premier kilt showed up yesterday along with my Argyle jacket, ghillie brougues, and maybe one or two other items I didn't take with me. The lass ordered a few kilt hangers and will be snapping some better pics once they come in. She sent me one of each of the semi-trads the other day, but there was a focus issue. She thought it was interesting how my American Heritage pleated to the stripe looked so much different than her skirt in the same tertan.
