"...the offices of the Aberdeen Shipping Company. Now, if you are well up in your London, you will know that the office of the company is in Fresno Street, which branches out of Upper Swandam Lane..."
~ from The Man With the Twisted Lip
The Aberdeen Shipping Company is a place for kilted Sherlockians to come together and discuss all things Holmes (or related to the Canon).
Why the Aberdeen Shipping Company?
ABERDEEN SHIPPING CO.
In full, Aberdeen Steam Navigation Company, a shipping firm located in the City, on Fresno Street, off of Upper Swandam Lane in "The Man With the Twisted Lip." Mrs. Neville St. Clair received a telegram that "a small parcel of considerable value which she had been expecting was waiting for her at the Aberdeen Shipping Company." Her journey to these offices precipitated the disappearance of her husband.
