    The Garth Mountain
It was a lovely day yesterday for our hike with some friends up the Garth Mountain. At the start of the walk up through the woods there was wild garlic growing everywhere. It was like snow.

After the woods it flattens out a bit over some lovely countryside

At the eastern end of the mountain you come to the crag ... a great place to chill. Luckily the garth mountain is on the outskirts of the city. The main A470 goes through the gap in pic into Cardiff.

Is this not the mountain that used to be a hill?

I thought the film was made on a mountain further up the valleys Steve. I may be wrong. Trefor might know though.

Stunning Derek. I just showed the wife the avenue of wild garlic and she was agog, she loves garlic in her food.

    Very nice pics Derek!

The area reminds me of where Connie and I live (foothills of the western Sierra range) where the hardwoods begin to blend into the conifers. Looks like a great time by you and the group, thanks for posting.
What is the elevation in that area?
