    Attention NorCal Rabble!

The first big Highland Games of the season are coming up fast!

I believe we have a few of members to cheer on in the heavy athletic events (Tim C, Bill C, Alan H) and possibly the bagpipe competition (PiperGeorge and the Santa Cruz Pipe and Drums)

It is a two day event and we should see how many of the rabble we can can gather on one of the days.

    Here is the scoop.

The F-H.C.A.G. and I will be at The Devils Canyon Brewery on Friday for Beer/Kilt Night. We haven't decided yet which day we will be attending the Games (though I lean toward Saturday).

As it stands now, I believe I am helping sell UK's there on Sunday. Just a glutton for punishment (and kilts) I guess. Don't think I'll be able to attend Saturday, which is too bad, would have liked to cheer the home team!

Let's figure out a rally point. I will be busy most the time throwing the heavy stuff, but Damamris, Ashley and my mom will be borded to tears watching me and would love to meet up with everyone.

I'm there.....Girlfriend Jamie from the Brewery may be coming up. Let's show her a good time!

I'll be throwing on Saturday with Tim and Bill and hanging out on Sunday. I'll be car-camping at the fairgrounds and will likely be up for a dinner event Saturday night. I'm sure that Gene and Ruth would welcome the X-Marks gang using the MacNaughton tent as "Games Central" again.

... with how many kilts? accessories?
I'm in for Saturday, and likely Sunday, as well. But there are only two weeks left to plan my outfits!?

Let's see... one camo kilt for traveling and wearing in the hot sun on Saturday while cheering on the combatants (...er, competitors...), another in wool for a festive outing Saturday night, a third for sleeping in, a fresh fourth tartan for a cool Sunday morning, then back to the ever-useful traveling camo. OK, that's four... oh, maybe get by with three... unless I sleep in the camo kilt (...been done before)...

Then the decisions on daywear and eveningwear sporrans and belts, shoes and hose vs. sandals (no place for sgian dubh), a jacket(?), sun-blocking headwear, and on and on, oh my! (These are such extreme exercises in coordination!)

And musn't forget the lawn chairs and ice chest for the spectators' area by the athletic field.

GO FOR IT Tim, Bill, and Alan! See you there.
