No one has any interest in meeting this year? I'll wait until April 1st before considering the proposal dead.
-
Thanks for the link. That's the NYC Rabble on the first page! :hooray:
Including yours truly in the Clergy tartan.
-
Is there any interest in meeting for lunch prior to the parade this year? If so, note yourself and the number of people you'd be bringing.
If anybody has photos from any previous meets, I'd like...

Is there any interest in meeting for lunch before the parade again this year?
Plus I'd like to get hold of any photos taken at last year's meet.

Belated prayers in the void of eternity where time doesn't matter. Hope your recovery is still going well.

Let me add my wishes for a Happy Saint Dewi Day to all.

Hey, Brewer,
Thanks for the support! :) Hope all is well.

Hey, HMS,
Sorry about the late response, but Keith A. has posted a suggested kilted getogether at a beer garden in Queens on May 15th.
Check out his thread and let us know if you'd be joining...
-
I'm interested. I've been there kilted before and had a great time.
P.S. For anyone interested, it might be the last traditional beer garden in the city.

It was good to meet up that day. We turned out to be even more, as another XM'er from way down in Virginia joined us with his family.
Does anyone have the group photo posted here?
-
Well, the final official count is 4 adults and 1 kiltie-in-training.
I won't make reservations, but should anyone want to join us, just tell the hostess that you're looking for the X Marks group....
-
To recap, thus far I am counting 4-6 adults:
Keith A. & wife
Skyelander
Galician
(possibly Mr. & Mrs MacBean)
Did I miss anyone? With such a small group, reservations might not be...
-
Wow, is there nobody else interested in this?
-
I'd like to see if there's any interest in gathering again this year for a simple brunch prior to the parade, as we have for the past several years. Folks seem to have found it a good opportunity to...

Since I've become aware of this event, they have always moved it when it falls on Holy Saturday.

This past weekend, the New York Philharmonic gave a concert as part of the City's observances of the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. As a survivor, I was able to...

Way to go!:clap::kd:
I'm really sorry that I have been tied up and missed these events. :(
-
I don't use Twitter. Do you know what his plans are for arriving back here?
The Memorial site will be open only to families of the victims and First Responders that day.
-
Just a bump, with the event approaching (hopefully happening before Irene decides to visit :?).
Anybody else besides Keith and myself planning to go?
-
As a native of the former New Amsterdam, I always took the term to refer most closely to New Englanders. Perhaps that was the Dutch colonists' way of referring to them, just as the Amish here call...

Aren't they one and the same?

Oh, yes, I know of this custom. I just didn't know there was a name for it, or the details. Thanks. :)
Btw, is the lump of coal lit? Just carrying that would make the drink well earned.
