Congratulations on the new size.
Looking great!

I am currently finishing up a bottle of Glenmorangie and have just opened a bottle of Auchentoshan Three Wood. I fell in love with it during a whisky tasting at last years Burns Night. I very much...

Kilt. What I will do the next one who calls it a skirt.

OOPS! I meant 10Ks are kind of rare. 5Ks seem to dominate.
Sorry,

5K's are kinda hard to find any more, Alan. Try going to Active.com which lists races near to you. In Maine we have the Kilted Canter 5K race put on by the Belfast Rotary every year on the Saturday...

Stillwater Kilts has a solid black in their Economy grade for $52 US.
In their Standard grade ($90) is their Nightstalker tartan in which the weave gives a tartan like pattern.
Good luck,

May I suggest we try looking at the post on the 5.11 Kilt. Several people report good results after washing and drying.

More than jealous. I have 5 feet of white on the ground. It was as low as -21F yesterday morning. I don't think I will see green for at least 6 more weeks. (I am not sure if our friends in Canada ...

To be honest, I am currently rediscovering a taste for American bourbon (Maker's Mark). I rather like its sweet quality.
We had a whiskey tasting at our local Burns' night dinner recently and I...

I am afraid I am not too familiar with Scottish terminology, but two of my favorite from residency in Florida was:
"I have a 'rise-in'" (spelled phonetically) meaning they have a raised lesion on...

Bringing this back to being about KILTS, I will be wearing my Leatherneck kilt while we go out for our (new) traditional family dinner. My wife is Jewish (I am Catholic) and we go out for dinner at a...

A little off topic but the bottom of the page had an ad for Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate. That is now make by Hershey's in the US and has lost its distinctive taste and smoothness.

With respect to our brother's across the "pond", Americans have a long history (238 years) of disliking high handed government interference.
This system that caught these teenage boys is fraught...

I just bought a 5.11 Kilt this spring. I love it.
I must say I have never had my manhood questioned for wearing a kilt. Then, I don't worry about wearing a kilt because I am very secure in my...

Those are great pictures and the town was visually perfect. I have one question. Why was here a United States flag there. We aren't part of the Commonwealth. Did you have Americans in your corps?

First and most important thing: glad you are safe.
I had that happen to me once. Fortunately the car slid into a nice soft grassy median. It was 1979 so there were no cell phones, just a 1 mile...

I am sorry these are not the best photos.
This is a photo of me running the "5K Kilted Canter" in Belfast Maine, yesterday (7/19/14).
