@ OC Richard: That is a brilliant grouping! The water bottle cover for the Slade-Wallace equipment was sort of a Hodden gray color. The blankets were bluish-gray in color.

I tend to think that the photo is pre-World War I. Those round water bottles were replaced by a new model with the 1908 pattern webbing.

I wear mine all the time when I wear a utility kilt. I have at least five sets of boots, and they're my go-to footwear.

Me! I've read all eight books, and both of the Outlandish Companions. I have season 1 on disc, and both soundtrack albums. I admit it. I'm an Outlander junkie.
